...but is it art?

Back at CalArts, I wrote a piece of ambient music that, played in it's entirety, runs a solid two weeks without repeating.

Kind of worthless, really. It can never be performed, and breaking it up into seperate CDs (over 300 of 'em) would defeat the whole purpose. But that was me at CalArts for you.

Anyway, it occurred to me a minute ago I could actually produce this thing as a single mp3 file burnt to DVD media, with room to spare for a second movement.

That's pretty cool.

I mean, there will never be a market for it, but I'd have my place in music history. I'd be an instant trivia question!

Might be worth doing...

the age old question, answered
No, you really couldn't. All the instruments were playing at slightly different tempos - I figured if you could find the downbeat, it'd drive you mad after a few hours.

Likewise on the melody....
