self portrait (escher)

why self doesn't work in sales:

    guy at the next desk:
The customer ordered larenth. I don't know what that is. So I called them back, and it turns out they don't know either.

    self:
Can you get it for them?

    guy at the next desk:
It's going to be a challenge.

    self:
Is it possible they wanted a larynx?

    guy at the next desk:
    No.

    self:
You should give them a larynx.

    guy at the next desk:
It sounded over the phone like they already had one.

    self:
Did it sound like they had laryngitis?

    guy at the next desk:
    No.

    self:
That's probably what they wanted, then.

    guy at the next desk:
    Why would they want laryngitis?

    self:
You said yourself, they don't know what it is.

    guy at the next desk:
So, I should give them some sort of throat inflamation because... they thought it was something else?

    self:
That's what I'd do. The customer's always right.

    guy at the next desk:
    Hmm.
