fishing for insults

I sometimes complain that the world perceives me as a sort of amorphous genderless blob. The statement is quickly rebuked - why would I even think such a thing?

I'll let you in on a secret. If I use those words in front of you, it's probably because a week or two earlier, we had one of these conversations:
    you:
Why is it all the men in this town are either gay or taken?

    me:
They're not. You're just unwilling to accept that a straight available man would find you unattractive.

    you:
    Wow, that's a little harsh.

    me:
    You started it.
It's an honesty test of sorts. To pass, your answer will be something along the lines of "Nobody questions your gender. They just don't like to acknowledge it because you're repulsive."

Maybe not that specifically, but if your answer doesn't line up with the previous exchange, it's because you fear awkwardness more than you value honesty.

Though, maybe I was right the first time:

My journal says I'm 50% masculine.
What does your LJ writing style say about your gender?
