this wasn't cheap, either.

Glancing at my old highschool Letterman Jacket in the closet, it occurs to me I'd be instantly labeled the worst kind of loser if I ever wore it for any reason.

It's funny how status symbols go bad over time...

Hard to say...
I wear my VHS t-shirt every now and again, and I know others that do as well. It seems generally accepted that it's wearable to indicate Alumni status. Never actually got the letterman jacket because it was kind of expensive and I wouldn't have had anything to put on it.

At least your apparel was wearable while you we're there. Personally I wouldn't have been caught dead in VC clothing while I was there and certainly not now.

And my UCSC apparel, while always wearable down this way, would seem to become less so in Santa Cruz itself.

Now that I think about it, I would think someone has to have written a book on the fashion of school-themed apparel.

I know what you mean. I just finished talking to my mom on the phone, trying to decide what of my stuff is worth shipping out to me. Apperently she needs the space. She came up with old high-school yearbooks and my letter (from band!). I didn't know what to do with that crap when it was current, and I think it's all going to the dump now.

Yeah, mine was also from band, so you know that jacket was currency with the ladies...

"What are these? Canadian dollars? I can't spend this."

*sigh*

What instrument did you play?

Flute and trombone - another odd mix of brass and woodwind.

Does the notation line up between those? The alto's in Eb, if I remember right, and with the horn in F. That would have intimidated the heck out of me - I had enough trouble sightreading every time I switched instruments, and that was just changing clefs. At least mine were both concert C...
