Three day weekend

Things expected of me:
  • Produce ending credits for a music video
  • Prep a few dozen certificates in PageMaker
  • Check out Zach's show and be social afterwards
  • Be available to drop everything on a moments notice to help babysit my neice and nephew, periodically, as needed
  • More work on Mom's computer
  • Much housecleaning

Things not expected of me:
  • Find a cheap motel room
  • Tell no one where I am
  • Turn off the celphone, ignore incoming e-mail
  • Get some damn work done on my own stuff

Weighing my options.
   I might surprise everyone.

yeah, but it's a Florida election.
It's this darn "heightened sense of responsibility" - always gets in the way. I'm trying to find the right compromise now. Maybe I can cross a few items off the list tonight, and disappear in the morning?

I'm with define23! Maybe fake your own death for awhile -- okay, that's extreme, but believe me, there have been times when I thought about it...

I know family is important, but when I think about the having to suddenly babysit part, I get really pissed off for you.

Man. It sucks having to miss your own funeral.

I bet there were sandwiches.

Yeah, they were pretty good. Not worth the drive up there over, but still tasty.
Hey, you do know we can all read this, right?

Dumbass.

I'm so confused!
I don't remember posting that! And I also don't remember 5/25/03 having already happened. Is it time for me to change my password? And reset my clock?

you were being hypothetical.
Were it time to change your password, someone else would be the one whose clock needs resetting.

sneak in to the night
mexico is good only if you know some one who has a house there. then it's goodto hide and sneak away for a weekend.... And cell phones don't work there any ways most of the time..
all you will need is power , a blender , stuff for the blender , maybe some money and your stuff. you would be set.

Ah, but I'd also need them to not be there themselves. This makes such a person harder to come by.

...!

You just helped with a different problem. I heard a name recently that I couldn't place, but which was definitely significant to me in the past. It's been driving me nuts. Anyway, he's the guy I know with a house in Mexico. Mystery solved thanks to strange coincidental timing.

Anyway, that's too far. I'd waste half my weekend driving.
