one-act schedule

So, proposals are officially due November 27th. I've been asked to turn mine in by the end of the month. Whether this is a sign of faith or trepidation, I can only speculate. But that's still two and a half weeks off. Way more time than I need. See, I may not be a great director, but I do understand what needs to go into these proposals, and I'm going to knock their socks off.

Here are the dates. I'm marking my calendar in ink - that's just how arrogant I am.

(2000)
- 10/31 - Submission Deadline
- 11/27 - Submission Deadline for everyone else
- 12/13 - Selected Plays Announced
(2001)
- 01/17 - Auditions begin
- 01/18 - Auditions continue through call-backs
- 01/19 - Call-backs end, cast list posted
- 01/22 - Company Reading
- 01/23 - Rehearsals begin (M-F 2:30-5:30)
- 02/17 - Tech Saturday
- 02/22 - Dress Rehearsal / Understudy Night (7pm - 5:00 call)
- 02/23 - First official performance (8pm - 6:00 call)
- 02/24 - First official trainwreck (8pm - 6:00 call)
- 02/25 - Sunday Matinee - good audience! (3pm - 12:00 call)
- 03/01 - Pickup Rehearsal
- 03/02 - Decent performance (8pm - 6:00 call)
- 03/03 - Pretty good show (8pm - 6:00 call)
- 03/04 - Incredible performance, strike set (3pm - 12:00 call)
- 03/06 - Post-mortem discussion

There are some directors' meetings and a cast party in there someplace as well, but it's probably too early to write those in.

This just in...
I may or may not make dress rehearsal, and I will almost definitely be somewhere else for the opening night performance. But if I do show up, there's probably a tuxedo involved, so it might be worth driving out for the possible sighting.
